Dr. Samuelson grew up in the Kansas City area and graduated from Kansas State University, with degrees in Life Sciences and Gerontology. She then attended the University of Houston College of Optometry, graduating summa cum laude. Her optometric training includes a rotation at Cedar Springs Eye Clinic in Dallas specializing in the treatment and management of eye diseases such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration and dry eye syndrome. She also completed a rotation at a private practice in Houston with a heavy emphasis on pediatrics as well as specialty contact lenses. She enjoys fitting difficult contact lens cases and is certified in the fitting of orthokeratology lenses, which research shows can help slow the progression of near-sightedness in children. Dr. Samuelson is a therapeutic optometrist and optometric glaucoma specialist. She enjoys seeing patients of all ages and takes pride in educating her patients to the fullest and customizing a treatment plan unique to each patient. Dr. Samuelson lives in The Woodlands with her husband. She enjoys hiking, biking and traveling.
