Meet our Optometrists:

Dr. Michael D. Toups

Dr. Toups is a 1984 graduate of the University of Houston College of Optometry. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from Northeast Louisiana University. Postgraduate works include therapeutic courses at Pennsylvania College of Optometry and the Optometric Glaucoma Specialist Course at the University of Houston College of Optometry.

Being a therapeutically licensed optometrist, Dr. Toups is trained to diagnose and treat ocular conditions. He specializes in contact lenses and he is current with all refractive surgery procedures. He has also utilized his knowledge and expertise internationally for over 20 years, helping various orphanages in Guatemala by giving eye exams and donating glasses to children in need.

Dr. Toups is married, has five children, 3 beautiful grandchildren that he enjoys spoiling, and has lived in the Houston area since 1980.

Dr. Douglas M. Inns

Dr Inns 2

Dr. Inns is a 1982 graduate of the University of Houston College of Optometry. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Wilfred Laurier University, Canada. During his training at the University of Houston, he held positions in research and was a teaching assistant / laboratory instructor.

Postgraduate work includes therapeutic courses at Pennsylvania College of Optometry and the Optometric Glaucoma Specialist Course at the University of Texas Medical School. Dr. Inns has published in Optometry Today and Optometric Management. He also volunteers at the schools in his area.

Dr. Inns and his wife, Lynn, spend much of their spare time calling and visiting with their four boys.

Dr. Jill Liu

Dr. Jill Liu graduated in 2003 with her Doctorate from the University of Houston College of Optometry after receiving her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas at Austin. Upon graduation from optometry school, Dr Liu completed a Post Doctorial Fellowship in Cornea and Contact Lens Research, specializing in RGP fits of keratoconus and post corneal transplant patients.

In addition, she has received training from Plano Eye Associates and Charles Garcia M.D. and Associates with emphasis on co-management of cataract surgeries, glaucoma care, and diabetic retinopathy.

Dr. Liu is also an adjunct clinical faculty member at the University of Houston College of Optometry.

Dr. Lauren Tom

Dr. Lauren Tom OD

Dr. Lauren Tom, a graduate of Montgomery High School, obtained her bachelor’s degree in biology and psychology from Baylor University and a doctor of optometry degree from Southern California College of Optometry. She completed optometric rotations through the navy, Indian Health Services, and the Veteran’s Administration.

Dr. Tom is a therapeutically licensed optometrist and is trained to diagnose and treat many diseases and conditions of the eye. She enjoys providing primary eye care to patients of all ages and fitting rigid gas permeable and soft contact lenses.

Dr. Chad Toups


Dr. Chad Toups is an optometric glaucoma specialist. He earned his doctorate at the University Of Houston College Of Optometry, and received externship training at Hermann Eye Center in Memorial Hermann Hospital.

There, his primary focus was in the diagnosis and management of retinal diseases such as macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy.

Additionally, he gained experience in the postoperative treatment of cataract and retina surgeries. Prior to optometry school, Dr. Toups earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Texas at Austin.

Today, his professional interests are in glaucoma, infectious eye disease, and specialty contact lens fits.

Dr. Chad Toups

Michelle Pham, O.D.

Dr. Pham was inspired at an early age to pursue a career in optometry through her own childhood
optometrist. Throughout high school and undergraduate studies at the University of Oklahoma, she volunteered on a regular basis at the Dean McGee Eye Institute in Oklahoma City, working alongside world-renowned eye surgeons and doctors.

She went on to earn a degree as Doctor of Optometry from Southern California College of Optometry in 2012. Her diverse experience includes having worked in the U.S. Naval Medical Center in San Diego, in addition to optometric screenings at JPS County Hospital in Fort Worth.

At Eye Trends, Dr. Pham not only provides primary eye care, she also has an interest in pediatrics and binocular vision. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, singing in the choir at her church, and traveling with her husband and their two dogs, Molly and Izzie.

Nancy Nghe, OD

Dr. Nghe is a licensed therapeutic optometrist and glaucoma specialist. Raised in Providence, RI she developed a passion for optometry spending her summer breaks working for a private practicing optometrist in the small town of Wakefield, RI. Dr. Nghe received her Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science at the University of Rhode Island. She then obtained her Doctor of Optometry degree at the State University of New York College of Optometry. During her time at SUNY College of Optometry, Dr. Nghe completed her clinical training at Westpoint's Keller Army Community Hospital, VA Boston Health Care System, and Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Hospital.

Shortly after graduating, Dr. Nghe worked in a private practice in Providence, RI. There she continued to expand her expertise in managing a variety of ocular diseases, pediatrics, specialty contacts in addition to providing primary eye care. She has also practiced alongside a number of ophthalmologists for several years in New York City providing pre and postoperative management of refractive surgeries, screening for ocular manifestations of systemic diseases, dry eye and glaucoma management. Outside the office, she has devoted her time volunteering for non-profit organizations taking part in several mission trips providing eye care to inner city children in New York City and internationally to the indiginous people of Iquitos, Peru. She is proud to call Houston her new home and is excited to be part of the Eye Trends team in providing quality comprehensive eye care to all ages in the North Houston community. She is exam proficient in Teochew and Spanish. Dr. Nghe has a special interest in myopia control, pediatrics and contact lenses.

In her spare time, Dr. Nghe enjoys Lagree pilates, traveling and enjoying the year round great weather Houston has to offer. She currently resides in Spring, TX with her french bulldog, Brooklyn.

Thuyuyen N. Hoang, O.D.

Dr. Thuyuyen N. Hoang is a Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at the University of Houston. Then, she earned her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Houston College of Optometry.

In optometry school, Dr. Hoang was the secretary of the National Optometry Student Association. Dr. Hoang’s clinical rotations included Ocular Disease and Medical Services, University of Houston Eye Center in the Heights and Mann Eye Institute. Through these rotations, she provided primary eye care, contact lens fitting, pre- and post-op care in refractive and cataract surgery and management and treatment of ocular diseases, such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration.

Dr. Hoang enjoys seeing patients of all ages. Her clinical philosophy is to treat every patient who walks through the door like family.

Dr. Hoang resides in Richmond, Tx with her family and puppy. As her hobby, she co-owns a small plant business that specializes in creating affordable planters and custom arrangements. To give back, she also co-hosts charity markets to fundraise for national and local non-profit organizations.

Parnaz Adibian, O.D., MPH

Dr. Parnaz Adibian graduated in 2020 with her Doctorate from the University of Houston College of Optometry with Magna Cum Laude and as a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa honor society. She earned her Bachelor of Science with Magna Cum Laude degree in Biology from the University of Houston and a Masters in Public Health from the University of Texas School of Public Health. She completed her pediatric clinic rotation at Texas Children’s and Women’s Center in Houston, Tx and ocular disease rotation at Cedar Springs Eye Clinic in Dallas, Tx.

Dr. Adibian is a therapeutic optometrist and glaucoma specialist with special interests in pediatrics, myopia control, ocular disease, contact lenses, and primary care for all ages. She enjoys connecting and communicating with her patients to give a thorough and enjoyable experience.

She is a native Houstonian and loves spending time with her family. She enjoys singing, cooking, traveling, and doing all kinds of creative artwork, including painting, photography, and mosaics.

Dr. Sarah Quelly


Dr. Sarah Quelly is a therapeutic optometrist and licensed optometric glaucoma specialist. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Texas A&M University and her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry. She completed clinical rotations at the San Diego Naval Medical Center and Bridge Builders Eye Clinic in Dallas. In 2016, Dr. Quelly earned a fellowship in the American Academy of Optometry.

Dr. Quelly’s training includes the postoperative management of cataract and refractive surgeries, fitting of specialty contact lenses, and treatment of ocular disease. Dr. Quelly enjoys providing eye care to patients of all ages in the Houston area.

Dr. Sarah Quelly

Dr. Jenna Cedillo

Dr. Jenna Cedillo is a native Houstonian. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Texas State University. She then got her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Houston College of Optometry, where she graduated as a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa optometric honor society. She has completed clinical rotations at Golden Eye Clinic in Center, TX, and Good Neighbor Clinic in Houston.

She enjoys caring for the ocular health of patients of all ages. Her professional interests include primary eye care, contact lens fitting, and management of dry eye and ocular allergies. She also manages ocular diseases such as glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, their dog, family, and friends. She also enjoys outdoor activities, cooking, fitness, and traveling. Email Me

Dr. Angela Dantin

Dr. Angela Dantin is a Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist from Texas City, TX. She received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Texas A&M University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She then received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry in May 2016. Dr. Dantin completed a clinical internship at Lackland Air Force Base-San Antonio, where she provided routine eye care and LASIK/PRK management for both active duty and retired military members. She completed a second clinical internship at Northeastern State University-Oklahoma College of Optometry where she received advanced training in ocular disease treatment and cataract surgical management. She received a clinical Letter of Excellence while in school and became certified in ophthalmic laser procedures.

Dr. Dantin practices medical optometry, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of ocular diseases, contact lens fittings, and LASIK and cataract co-management. She enjoys providing personalized care for her Eye Trends patients. She is an active member of the Texas Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.

Dr. Dantin resides in the Heights and enjoys spending time with her family and friends, going to concerts, and traveling. She is a sports enthusiast and loves watching Texas A&M football, the Houston Astros, and the Houston Rockets.

Dr. Leah Dantin

Dr. Leah Dantin is a proud Aggie, graduating with Honors from Texas A&M University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She then received her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2016 from the University of Houston College of Optometry.

During her schooling, she completed clinical internships at Sharp Eye Consultants in San Antonio and at the Northeastern State University-Oklahoma College of Optometry, both of which provided extensive training in the treatment and management of ocular disease, with an emphasis in diabetic eye disease, and peri-operative care for cataract surgery. She is a Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist.

After practicing in Galveston, TX for the past 3 years, Dr. Dantin now lives in Houston with her husband and their dog, Zeus. She is excited for the opportunity to provide excellent eye care for the great city of Houston and surrounding areas. In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling, and attending sporting events.

Dr. Jenna Wayne

Dr. Jenna Wayne is a therapeutic optometrist and optometric glaucoma specialist. She graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Physiology. She then received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry, where she was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society. While in optometry school, she was involved with numerous student organizations and held various leadership positions, such as a teaching assistant for first-year optometry students. She has also published research and has presented at a national optometry meeting.

Dr. Wayne had clinical rotations with a private practice in Houston and the Veteran’s Administration. She enjoys providing quality eye care that’s personalized for each patient’s needs. Her professional interests include primary eye care, specialty contact lens fits, and ocular disease. She is a member of the Harris County Optometric Society, Texas Optometric Association, American Optometric Association, and American Academy of Optometry.

Dr. Wayne enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her husband and their 2 dogs. She looks forward to meeting you and can provide eye exams in English and Spanish.

Dr. Sarah Hung

Dr. Sarah Hung was born and raised in Houston. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biochemical and Biophysical Sciences with high honors at the University of Houston. She then graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry.

During her clinical training, Dr. Hung completed her externships at a community clinic in Dallas and Lakeline Vision Source in Cedar Park, TX. During her training, she focused on treating and managing patients with ocular disease such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, dry eye syndrome, and corneal disease. Her special interests include primary eye care, specialty contact lenses such as sclerals, ocular disease, and pre and postoperative care for cataract and refractive surgeries.

Dr. Hung is a licensed therapeutic optometrist and glaucoma specialist. She is passionate about providing quality care for her patients and giving back to the community. She previously went on an optometric mission trip to Honduras and provided comprehensive eye examinations.

Dr. Hung is a member of the Texas Optometric Association and American Optometric Association. She now resides in Houston with her husband and two cats. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, hiking, and traveling. She is also a foodie and coffee enthusiast.

Dr. Aaron Wong

Dr. Aaron Wong is a native Houstonian. He graduated in the first class of Kingwood Park High School and was ranked in the top 5. He then earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with High Honors from the University of Texas at Austin. He returned to Houston to obtain a Doctor of Optometry degree with Summa Cum Laude honors from the University of Houston College of Optometry. His training includes clinical rotations in the Dry Eye Center and the neuro-ophthalmology clinic at the University of Houston, an ocular disease rotation at Cedar Springs Eye Clinic in Dallas, Texas, and a primary eye care rotation at Lakeline Vision Source in Cedar Park, Texas. 

Dr. Wong is a therapeutic optometrist and glaucoma specialist who has special interests in primary eye care, contact lenses, and ocular diseases, such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and dry eyes. He enjoys working at Eye Trends because he can provide personable and thorough eye care to all his patients. He has a strong passion for meeting the needs of his patients, whether it be treating a red, painful eye or prescribing glasses or contact lenses that accommodate one’s lifestyle.

Dr. Wong is a member of the Harris County Optometric Society, Texas Optometric Association, and American Optometric Association. He still calls Kingwood home and is proud to work for his community and surrounding areas. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, trying new restaurants, and playing disc golf.
